Located at the back of the courtyard, this 19th-century industrial building stands out with its wooden framework and central masonry staircase, emblematic of the craftsmanship of the era. More than a simple renovation, the project involves an ambitious restructuring that includes a vertical extension, optimizing the space while preserving the building’s identity. This densification, through the addition of an extra floor, is accompanied by a complete redesign of the interiors to modernize and rationalize their layout, ensuring spaces are better suited to contemporary needs.

The intervention also highlights the architectural character of the building by revealing the original materiality of the main façade. The exposed brickwork restores authenticity to the structure, enhancing the readability of its composition. The seven bays that define the façade extend seamlessly to the ground, where alternating stone and cobblestones establish a harmonious visual connection with the courtyard.

Finally, the remodeled roof, designed in keeping with the building’s original rhythm, is punctuated by vertically accentuated dormer windows. These elements lend the structure a more dynamic and distinctive silhouette while reinforcing the dialogue between traditional construction techniques and contemporary intervention.
